"I can use dry ice in a large bowl of ice to cool drinks, canned or bottled?

I have an outdoor party in August and For an inexpensive way to keep the ice cold beers, but I fear that a large container of some ice will melt very quickly. Is it possible to put some blocks dry ice at the bottom, cover with regular ice, then put in drinks? Anyone?

A better solution would be to get a bag ice and get 20 pounds of rock salt. Pour the ice in your refrigerator and pour salt in it. This will refresh your drinks and fast, you can add extra ice to keep fresh. The salt also helps in the fulfillment of the frost is placed on top.
