i have starlings that are trying to build a nest in my gas grill, any ideas on how to stop it?

we have tried putting the cover on and they fly up under it, they pull out rags i have filled the hole with i am going nuts any suggestions?

tinfoil…wad it up and plug there entrance hole… a pie plate works well..or just plain ol aluminum foil…. they will peck at it, but they sure don’t care for the sensation , or the noise.
