How can I grill the perfect steak?

Any inventitive ideas?

Never, EVER put salt on a steak before cooking it! It will make it tough. In fact this goes for all beef dishes, except maybe beef stew which cooks for so long that it will go back to being tender after the salt toughens it.
If it’s a nice thick steak, just rub with fresh garlic (or sprinkle with garlic POWDER not garlic salt) and black pepper.
Sear for one minute on each side to seal in the juices. Then allow to cook to desired doneness turning every 2 minutes or so. Make sure the grill is nice and hot.
