My daughter is TERRIFIED of fire!?

My little one is four and a half, and is absolutely terrified of fire in any form. Even birthday candles. We tried to take her to an Italian restaurant a few days ago and we had to leave because she wouldn’t stop freaking out over the open brick oven. She stays as far away from the kitchen as possible, because we have a gas stove.

Slowly expose her to fire in an environment where she will not feel threatened. Try lighting one bday candle and then gradually increase or view fire from far far away then gradually get closer.

P.S. those “volcano” fires at hibachi restaurants are pretty intense so that may have caused her fear.
